The nid project

6.What we need

1.PARTNERSHIP STRUCTURE

[ref. Grant Application Form – 1.Partnership – p.6]

  1. A brief description (and list of publication) of the activities and research carried out by each partner.

This description is meant to demonstrate and justify how the composition of the group is appropriate to implement the activities and to achieve objectives and expected results. The description should be related as much as possible to the proposed project.

(this should be the answer of the question: “why are you proposing this partner for this project?”)

  2. As we are asked to explain how the partnership is balanced, how do you think your research unit could bring a real contribution to the activities of the project?

2.PARTNERS DETAILS

[ref. Grant Application Form – 1.3 Partners – p.13]

All the informations required in 1.3 of the Grant Application Form ( p.13) must be filled in.

This for is meant to acquire sufficient informations about each partner i.e. general details (1.3.1), role and involvement in the proposed project (1.3.2), financial status (1.3.3.1 or 1.3.3.2 or 1.3.3.3) and experience in similar projects (1.3.4).

3.ENHANCEMENT OF PROJECT PROPOSAL

[ref. Grant Application Form – 2.Description of the project – p.19]

Comments and contribution to the project description (p.19-22) and to the planning of the activities (p.23).

In particular based on the proposed project (The NID Project):

NB:

We need the descriptions to be brief and concise. We need just some indications in order to proceed with the final project description.

  1. Within the whole project what your specific goals are.

  2. Provide a general presentation and detailed analysis of the problems and their interrelation at territorial level.

  3. Explaining the cross-border impact of the proposal.

  4. Provide a description of the target groups and final beneficiaries and estimated number.

  5. Identify clearly the specific problems to be addressed by the project and the perceived needs and constraints of the target groups.

  6. Demonstrate the relevance of the project to the needs and constraints of the target territories, target groups(s)/final beneficiary group(s) in general, and how the project will provide the desired solutions, in particular for the targeted beneficiaries and population.

  7. Demonstrate that the project is innovative and that it contains synergies with current initiatives, policies and strategies in the cooperation area.

  8. Provide a description of the proposed project including, where relevant, background information that led to the formulation of the project. This should include:

  9. Outputs and expected results. Indicate how the project will improve the situation of target groups/beneficiaries as well as the technical and management capacities of target groups and/or any local partners where applicable. Be specific and quantify outputs as much as possible. Indicate notably foreseen publications.

  10. The proposed activities and their effectiveness. Identify and describe in detail each activity to be undertaken to produce the results, justifying the choice of the activities and specifying where applicable the role of each partner (or associates or subcontractors) in the activities. In this respect, the detailed description of activities must not repeat the Action Plan.

  11. Describe how the proposed project takes into account external factors and the analysis of the problem(s) involved.
